![]() ![]() It is a thought-provoking course in which students develop analytical skills in problem-solving and divergent thinking, while working towards technical proficiency and confidence as art-makers. Through the DP core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service. The IB Diploma Programme visual arts course encourages students to challenge their own creative and cultural expectations and boundaries. The DP curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Students who complete the MYP are well-prepared to undertake the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or Career-related Programme (CP). The MYP is a five-year programme, which can be implemented in a partnership between schools, or in several abbreviated (two, three or fouryear) formats. With its international focus, the International Baccalaureate Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes help students develop academically. The MYP is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.
